World Human Rights Day 2022: Today is World Human Rights Day. This day is very important in the context of human rights protection. Its purpose is to explain and make people aware of the importance of human rights around the world. Human rights are those rights that any person gets with birth. These include the right to life, liberty, equality and dignity of the individual. Along with this, other rights including political, social and economic also come in them.

The United Nations declared 10 December as Human Rights Day in the year 1950. Human rights include the protection of the fundamental rights of the people and it gives the right to freedom. These are the rights from which any person cannot be deprived or discriminated on the basis of religion, caste, gender, race, language, region, nationality. Everyone should be able to enjoy these rights without any discrimination and have a better standard of living. This leads to the physical, mental, intellectual, moral and social development of the individual and when the individual develops, the society and the nation also progress.

The theme of Human Rights Day this year is ‘Dignity, Freedom and Justice for All’. Human rights are guaranteed in the Indian Constitution. Right to education comes under this. The Human Rights Act came into force in our country from 28 September 1993. The National Human Rights Commission was constituted on 12 October 1993. The commission also works in the political, economic, social and cultural fields. Human Rights Commission also runs many types of campaigns to make people aware. Today, on Human Rights Day, Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan has also extended greetings and said that ‘every person’s rights have been enshrined as “fundamental rights” in the constitution of the country. Come, let us all understand our rights and duties on World Human Rights Day and contribute to the development of the country.
