Vikram Festival 2023: Vikramotsav 2023 will be organized in Ujjain from February 18 to March 22, CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan held a meeting with the officers regarding preparations for the programmes. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that preparations for starting Vikramotsav 2023 in Ujjain should be completed on time. After the inauguration of Shri Mahakal Lok, the number of national and international tourists and devotees coming to Ujjain has increased. Therefore, the activities carried out in Vikramotsav should be made the center of public attraction.
CM Shivraj gave these instructions
CM Shivraj said that lakhs of lamps were offered on Shiv Diwali in Ujjain in the year 2022, the participation of the citizens of Ujjain was commendable. He said that the program of offering lamp on the first day of Vikramotsav of the year 2023 should be grand and dignified. Efforts should be made for this, so that the program is recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records.

In Vikramotsav, from Mahashivratri to Varsha Pratipada, devotional singing, exhibition, handicrafts trade fair, theater presentation, book fair, competition of bhajan troupes, film festival, National Veda Samagam, National Youth Science Conference, Kavi Sammelan, publication launch by parties from different countries. Apart from the presentations on the episodes of Ramayana and Mahabharata, there will be a national seminar on the topic “Culture, Literature and Archeology in Greater India”. Eminent playback singers along with their musical groups will present stage programs on Srishti Aarambh Divas, Varsha Pratipada.

Inauguration programs of Vikram Panchang and Vikramaditya Vedic clock will also be organized during Vikramotsav. Various departments of the government, Maharaj Vikramaditya Shodhpeeth, Swaraj Sansthan Directorate, Vikram University, Maharishi Panini Sanskrit University, Sandipani Ved Vidyalaya, Avantika University, Acharya Varahmihir Observatory and other social organizations will cooperate in the activities.
