Vijay Hazare Trophy 2022: In the final match of Vijay Hazare Trophy 2022, Saurashtra won the title by defeating Maharashtra by 5 wickets. This is the second time that the Saurashtra team has won the Vijay Hazare title. Saurashtra’s Sheldon Jackson’s century overshadowed Maharashtra’s Rituraj Gaikwad’s century. With this defeat, Maharashtra’s dream of winning the Vijay Hazare Trophy for the first time also ended. Rituraj Gaikwad played an inning of 108 runs for Maharashtra, but his century could not win his team.

Batting first in the final of Vijay Hazare Trophy 2022, Maharashtra scored 248 runs losing 9 wickets. Apart from Rituraj Gaikwad, no player from Maharashtra could survive. Rituraj Gaikwad played an inning of 108 runs in 131 balls. Apart from them, Azim Kazi scored 37 and Naushad Sheikh scored 31 runs. On the other hand, Saurashtra bowler Chirag Jani took 3 wickets for 43 runs.

Please tell that Saurashtra has captured the title again after 14 years. Saurashtra won the Vijay Hazare Trophy in the year 2007-08. Tamil Nadu has won the title of Vijay Hazare Trophy maximum number of times 5 times.
