UP Weather Update Today: A fresh Western Disturbance is expected to reach Western Himalayas from the night of 29th December. During the next 3 to 4 days, dense fog may occur in many states including western Uttar Pradesh. According to the UP Meteorological Department, the weather will remain almost the same till the first week of January, after which there is a possibility of relief from dense fog. On December 30 and 31, the temperature may increase slightly.
According to the UP Meteorological Department (UP weather alert), fog will remain in many areas from December 27 to January 3. Cold wave to severe cold day conditions very likely over parts of West Uttar Pradesh and cold day conditions at one or two places over East Uttar Pradesh. By today, December 27, Western Disturbance will reach the western region of the Himalayas i.e. Jammu-Kashmir and Pakistan and there will be snowfall with light rain, due to which the temperature of East Uttar Pradesh will fall.

According to the Meteorological Department, there will be a drop in the temperature again on Tuesday. There may be a further drop in the temperature at night and fog is expected to increase on Wednesday. If there is a possibility of frost, farmers have been advised to irrigate during the day before 10 pm. Do not irrigate crops in the second and third hours of the night. A warning has been issued for dense fog in western Uttar Pradesh. The fog will disturb till 28 December.

Many trains including Begumpura Express, Jammu to Howrah Himgiri Sealdah Express, Avadh Assam Express, Lucknow Mail, AC Special, Shatabdi Express, Doon Express, Farakka were affected due to fog. The same Indigo flight left Mumbai for Bareilly at 11.18 am but due to non-landing, the flight had to be diverted to Bareilly and returned to Delhi.
