UP Weather Update Today: The weather of Uttar Pradesh has changed once again after Christmas. In the last 24 hours, there has been a significant drop in the temperature with light rain at isolated places. Due to increasing cold and outbreak of cold wave, the timings of many schools have also been changed. If the UP Meteorological Department is to be believed, then from December 26, due to the activation of Western Disturbance, it may become cloudy and the fog will remain dense till the new year. According to the UP Meteorological Department (UP weather alert), the minimum temperature of 10 degrees and the maximum of 24 degrees can be recorded today in the capital of Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow. Today, on December 26 and 27, cold day conditions are likely to prevail in some parts of Uttar Pradesh and one or two places in East Uttar Pradesh. Today on Monday it will be cloudy and there can be a possibility of light drizzle. On December 27 and 28, light drizzle can be seen in the metropolis and its surrounding areas. From December 27 to January 3, fog will remain in many areas.

Yellow alert has been issued regarding the same cold wave and the condition of cold wave will remain for the next 2 days. Along with fog, cold day to severe cold day conditions are expected in some parts of West Uttar Pradesh and cold day conditions at one or two places in East Uttar Pradesh.

According to the Meteorological Department, by December 27, Western Disturbance will reach the western region of the Himalayas i.e. Jammu-Kashmir and Pakistan and there will be snowfall with light rain. This will increase the moisture in the atmosphere and the temperature will drop as soon as the westerly winds reach eastern Uttar Pradesh. In view of the severe cold in Uttar Pradesh, the timings of schools have been changed in districts like Lucknow, Ayodhya, Varanasi, Basti, Siddharth Nagar, Badaun. In Lucknow, all schools up to class eight will open from 10 am to 3 pm. As per the order, the timings of the schools in Ayodhya have been changed from 10 am to 3.30 pm. The timings of the schools of Gautam Budh Nagar have been changed from 9 o’clock.
