UP Weather: Effect of cyclone, heavy rain warning in 15 districts, Meteorological Department issued alert

Lucknow, Desk Report. Due to the cyclone in the Bay of Bengal in Uttar Pradesh, once again the moisture in the atmosphere has started increasing and the rainy season has started. The UP Meteorological Department has issued a red alert of heavy rain in 15 districts including Lucknow, Ayodhya, on the day of Ganesh Chaturthi on Wednesday, 31 August. In the same many districts, an orange alert has been issued due to the warning of rain and lightning in many districts.

The Meteorological Department (UP Weather Forecast) has predicted heavy rain in the districts of Purvanchal on Wednesday, 31 August. This process of rain will continue till September 3. Its effect can be seen in the form of heavy rains in different areas of the state during this week. At present, it will rain only in some parts of western Uttar Pradesh. Since the onset of monsoon this year, 326.2 mm of rain has been received so far. While it was estimated that there would be 583.3 mm of rain.

According to the Meteorological Department, at present the trough of Monsoon is passing through the Himalayas, due to which there are full chances of rain in Uttar Pradesh as well. For a week, good rains are expected in different parts of the state. A yellow alert has been issued for rain and thundershowers in many eastern districts of Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday.

UP’s Lucknow, Meerut, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Pilibhit, Bareilly, Hathras, Mainpuri, Agra, Jhansi, Kanpur Nagar, Auraiya, Fursatganj, Fatehpur, Prayagraj, Ballia, Varanasi, Mau, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar and Bahraich Heavy rain alert has been issued. Winds can also blow in these districts with a speed of 70 kmph. Lightning and thundershowers may occur in some districts.
