After the incident, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan took information from Panna’s forest officials including administrative and police officials and gave instructions for strict action, after which the forest department suspended deputy ranger Ajit Khare and beat guard Arun Trivedi with immediate effect. The investigation of the case has been handed over to SDO Panna.
