
Jabalpur High Court : Recently, the Jabalpur High Court has completed the hearing on the bail application of Dr. Ajay Lal, accused of religious conversion in missionary’s children’s homes in Damoh. During this, there has been opposition from the state government to grant bail to Ajay Lal.
On the bail of Ajay Lal, it was said on behalf of the government that the matter is very sensitive and if the accused is granted bail in this, he can influence the evidence and witnesses. Here the argument of his innocence was given on behalf of Ajay Lal. After listening to all the parties, the bench of Justice Sanjay Divedi of the High Court has reserved its decision on bail, which can be pronounced in the coming days.
FIR lodged against 10 people including Dr Ajay Lal
Let us tell you that on November 13, the chairman of the National Child Protection Commission, Priyank Kanungo, himself visited the children’s homes run by the missionaries in Damoh, after which he lodged a case against 10 people including Dr. Ajay Lal, director of Adharshila Sansthan and member of Mid India Christian Services. An FIR was lodged for conversion. In this case all the accused including Dr. Ajay Lal are absconding. Meanwhile, Ajay Lal had filed his anticipatory bail petition in the High Court, on which the court has reserved its decision after hearing.
