Suryakumar Yadav India vs Sri Lanka Series 2023: This year has been great for Team India’s star player Suryakumar. Surya has become the highest run-scorer in T20 International in the year 2022. He has played brilliant innings for Team India on many occasions and has won the team. Now they have also got the benefit of this. Suryakumar Yadav has been made the vice-captain for the T20 series against Sri Lanka. This series against Sri Lanka is starting from 3 January. Its first match will be played in Mumbai.
Suryakumar Yadav played an inning of 95 runs against Saurashtra in Ranji Trophy on Wednesday. After this Surya said, ‘I had no expectation of this (vice captain). But the way the last year has passed, I think it is a reward for me. I feel good to have this.

Suryakumar Yadav told that his father gave him the news of his becoming the vice-captain. Surya said, ‘My father sent me the squad list because he is always on social media. After that we talked to each other. He sent me another short message. He wrote that do not take much pressure and enjoy your batting.
Suryakumar further said, ‘I closed my eyes and asked myself is this the team? It was like a dream for me. This is the fruit of my years of hard work. The tree that I sowed has finally grown and I am now enjoying its fruits. I am very happy with the way things are happening.

Surya’s international debut was in 2021
32-year-old Suryakumar Yadav made his debut in international cricket only last year. Since then he did not look back. On the basis of his performance, he has secured the number-1 position in the T20 International rankings. Surya has so far scored 1408 runs in 42 T20 International matches at a strike rate of 180+. During this he has an average of 44. He has also played 16 ODIs. Although he has not got a chance to debut in Test cricket till now.
