
Sidhi News: A child studying in Madhya Pradesh’s Sidhi district was abducted by a leopard, after which the body of the child was recovered about 18 hours later. In fact, the case pertains to Gijohar village of Podi forest range of Sanjay Tiger Reserve area of Kusmi block. Where Kamal Baiga, an 11-year-old child, was studying with three siblings. Then the leopard entered inside through the boundary window and took the child with it. Seeing this, the brothers and sisters started shouting. Hearing whose voice the relatives reached, then the children told that the leopard had taken away the lotus.

There has been chaos in the area since this incident. On Sunday morning, once again the relatives went out to find the child, by then the forest department team had also arrived. After hard work, the body of the child was found in the forest of Sanjay Gandhi Tiger Reserve, about 3 km from the village. After which the relatives performed the last rites of the child on Sunday evening.

After getting the information, the officers who reached the spot informed the father of the deceased about the assistance of Rs 8 lakh from the forest department. Along with this, Rs 10,000 was given as immediate assistance from the Tribal Department and Rs 10,000 from the Panchayat and arrangements for food grains were also made. After which Hariom Dwivedi, Deputy Director of the Forest Department told that the aid amount of Rs 8 lakh will be sent to the victim’s account within 24 hours.
