Shakib Al Hasan: Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) is starting from Friday (January 6). The first match of the tournament will be played between Challengers and Sylhet Sunrisers. Prior to the start of this league, Bangladesh’s Test and T20 captain Shakib Al Hasan referred to the famous Bollywood film ‘Nayak’ while sharply criticizing his country’s cricket board for failing to popularize BPL. He has said that if he is made the CEO of BPL, then he will improve everything in a few days like Anil of the film ‘Nayak’.

Shakib is angry with Bangladesh Cricket Board

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) started the domestic T20 league BPL in the year 2012 with 6 franchise teams. Now the number of teams has increased to seven. Shakib, the highest wicket-taker in BPL, claimed that BCB never showed any interest in popularizing the tournament. He said, ‘I do not know about the level of BPL.
