Prisoner escaped by climbing the wall of sub-jail, created a stir




Khargone Crime News: A prisoner has escaped from the sub-jail located at Katkoot Phate, about 3 km from Barwah in Khargone district of Madhya Pradesh, by jumping over the wall. It is being told that Sanju alias Sanjay, father Govind, age 27, resident of Kheditanda, has been working in the sub-jail since October 14, 2022. He was an undertrial prisoner under section 34(2) of the Act. According to information received from Jail Superintendent Yuvraj Singh Muvel, the incident took place around 10.30 am on Thursday.

Officials inspected the jail

According to the Jail Superintendent, Sanjay managed to break into the jail in the morning and managed to escape from the premises. As soon as the information was received, the policemen including the jail personnel started searching for him in the surrounding area. On getting the information, SDOP Vinod Dixit, SDM BS Kalesh, Barwah police station in-charge Jagdish Goyal have reached sub-jail.

The absconding prisoner is being searched in the forest area around Barwah sub-jail. Prior to this, in July 2018, a prisoner had managed to escape by scaling the wall in the same way, though he was caught a few hours later.
