Dr. Priyanka Tripathi Honored: Literary honors/awards for the year 2019 have been announced by “Sahitya Akademi”, Madhya Pradesh Sanskriti Parishad Bhopal. In this, the Ghazal-collection “Gunguni Si Dhoop” by Dr. Priyanka Tripathi, the famous poetess of Shahdol division and the founder of the only book publishing house of the division, has been selected for the “Dushyant Kumar Samman”.
For the first time in the history of Shahdol, a litterateur from the district has received the Sahitya Akademi award for his work in Hindi language. The selection of Dr. Priyanka in the order of award of Sahitya Akademi is a matter of pride for the entire division. Ever since the announcement of this honour, many senior litterateurs and acquaintances of the country are continuously congratulating Dr. Priyanka. Under Dushyant Kumar Samman, an amount of Rs 51,000 and a citation will be given to the litterateur.
This is the second good news for Shahdol district in the last few months. Prior to this, senior author of Bagheli Ramsakha Namdev was honored with the Sahitya Akademi Award for his Bagheli collection. Once again there is a wave of joy over the announcement of honor to the poetess of the district. Literary lovers say that this award is certainly a matter of pride for Shahdol division and will increase the literary fertility of the region.
