PM Modi Assam Visit: During his second term, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is continuously inaugurating schemes and projects for the development of northeastern states. In this episode, once again PM Modi reached Assam tour. On Friday, he gave a gift of Rs 14,300 crore to the people of Assam. The special thing is that during this time he also gave a big gift in terms of health to the people of Assam. He also inaugurated the All India Institute of Medical Science i.e. AIIMS built in Guwahati.

PM Modi also participated in Rongali Bihu, the traditional spring festival of Assam. In fact, he reached Guwahati on a one-day tour and flagged off various schemes during this. On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Guwahati AIIMS built at a cost of Rs 1120 crore. Actually the foundation stone of this AIIMS was laid 6 years ago i.e. in 2017.
Gift of three medical colleges
During his visit, PM Modi gave big gifts to the people of Assam not only in the field of medicine but also in the field of education. He inaugurated three medical colleges with 500 beds each. Nalbari Medical College, Nagaon Medical College and Kokrajhar Medical College are mainly included in these.

After the inauguration of these three medical colleges by the Prime Minister, now the total number of medical seats in the state has increased to 1500.

Ayushman card distribution started
Prime Minister Modi also started the distribution of about 1 crore Ayushman cards for the Assamese during his visit. Explain that under this scheme, beneficiaries can take cashless health cover up to Rs 5 lakh. That is, they get an exemption to avail health-related services up to Rs 5 lakh.
PM Narendra Modi will also lay the foundation stone of Asamai Advanced Health Care Innovation Institute, a joint initiative of IIT Guwahati, on Friday itself. Along with this, he will also visit Shrimant Shankardev Kalakshetra. Here he will participate in the Platinum Jubilee celebrations of the Gauhati High Court.
