
Ratlam News: In the district hospital of Ratlam, the relatives of the patient manhandled the nurse and assaulted the duty doctor. Angered by the incident, the doctors and nursing staff stopped work and went on strike. The patients were seen getting upset due to the stoppage of the work of the hospital. Along with the district hospital, the children’s hospital and the MCH hospital were also on strike.
The work of the hospital was getting affected due to the strike by the doctors and nursing staff. Seeing this, the SDM reached the district hospital and while discussing with the doctors, told that a case has been registered against the accused and strictest action will be taken. After the advice of the SDM, the doctors ended their strike and work could be started.
According to the information, this morning some people had taken the patient to the district hospital due to ill health. Here Dr. Pranav Modi asked to get ECG done after checkup. The relatives reached the ECG ward with the patient and started a brawl while arguing with nurse Ranjana Solanki over the matter of doing ECG early. During this, Dr. Vipin Kumar Dubey reached the spot and when he intervened, people started fighting with him. Seeing the heat of the matter, other employees reached there and intervened. During this, the accused who assaulted left from there after threatening. As soon as the news of the assault on the doctor spread throughout the hospital, everyone stopped work and started a strike and gathered at one place and started raising slogans.
The striking doctors and all the employees were demanding that the security system should be increased here and the accused should be arrested at the earliest. After this, SDM Sanjeev Keshav Pandey and SP Hemant Singh Chauhan reached the spot and got the strike ended after discussing with the doctors. On the other hand, on the complaint of Dr. Dubey, the Station Road police registered a case of assault against Arif, Sanjab and Mohammad Firoz, including obstructing official work, and took them into custody.
