MP Weather Update: The weather continues to turn. Due to the rapidly falling mercury and many active systems, there will be a quick change in the weather of Madhya Pradesh. Cold day alert has been issued in the state on the night of 31 December. According to the Meteorological Department, the period of rapid decline in temperature is going on. Visibility has crossed its minimum level in many districts due to persistent fog and haze. Along with this, an alert has also been issued for cold wave in many districts of the state.
Naugaon coldest record
After the last 24 hours, Naogaon has been recorded as the coldest in the state with a temperature of 4.4 degree Celsius, although the weather remains dry at present, but the weather is expected to change soon. The coolness will continue in the weather. The possibility of melting has also been raised. However, some areas have seen an increase in the minimum temperature. Along with this, people will get some relief from sunlight with light clouds in the sky throughout the day.

Talking about the active system, a Cyclonic Circulation is formed over the Western Disturbance of the lower and middle troposphere westerly winds over the region of Afghanistan. At the same time, a depression has formed over the Bay of South West Bengal. Before which the possibility of going towards north has been expressed. This depression will progress slowly. Due to which an outline will be created in the same area. Due to this, due to further advance of Sri Lanka’s Comorin region, the southern state will see rain while the northern state will see snowfall and a cold wave, which will cause a drop in temperature for Madhya Pradesh.
Heavy increase in the intensity of fog and haze in some parts of Madhya Pradesh
On the other hand, due to the continuation of high and light winds at the lower tropospheric level of the Gangetic plains, dense fog will be seen over North India, while the intensity of fog and haze will also increase significantly over parts of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh in central India. Due to which it will have a huge impact on visibility.
Significant drop in minimum temperature
According to the report of the Meteorological Center, there has been a significant drop in the minimum temperature of Jabalpur and Narmada Puram in the last 24 hours. However, no significant change has been observed in the division since then while Pachmarhi has been recorded as the coldest. The minimum temperature in Bhopal has reached 9 degree Celsius. While the minimum temperature in Jabalpur, Gwalior is at 7 and 6 degrees. The minimum temperature recorded in Indore is 10 degree Celsius.
Talking about other districts, 4 degree Celsius in Pachmarhi, Naugaon 4.5, Umaria 5.0, Rewa 6.8, Raisen 7, Guna 7.4, Mandla 7.5, Jabalpur 7.8, Khajuraho 8.2, Satna 8.3, Ujjain Chhindwara 8.8, Bhopal 9.4, Ratlam 9.6, Sidhi 9.8 , °C has been recorded.
Chances of cold wind blowing at a speed of 16 kilometers per hour
According to the forecast of meteorologists, the maximum temperature in many cities has been recorded at 23 to 25 degree Celsius. At the same time, the weather will remain dry in many parts of the state till the end of December. The intensity of fog and mist will increase in Bhind, Morena, Gwalior, Datia, Chhatarpur, Niwari, while in Bhopal cold wind with a speed of 16 kilometers per hour has been predicted.
