
MP School News : There is good news for the school students and teachers of Madhya Pradesh. Madhya Pradesh is the first state in the country where health and education departments are working together for better health care of school children. Under this, Umang programs are being run, in this project a class-wise guide has been prepared for children from class 9 to 12 and children in the age group of 10 to 19 years. Same, 2 teachers in each school will be trained with the contents of the guide. These teachers will educate all the children of the school.
Health Minister Dr. Chaudhary said that the Umang program is being conducted for regular health check-up of the children in the school and on the basis of their care. This program is being implemented by the Department of School Education, Health and UNFPA. In this, teams have also been formed at district, block and village level. In the project, class-wise guides have been prepared for children from classes 9 to 12 and children in the age group of 10 to 19 years. The guide has been prepared in collaboration with UNFPA’s associate organization ‘Bharatiya Gramin Mahila Sangh’.

The special thing is that the guide covers life skills education, physical and mental changes in adolescence, health, nutrition, reproductive health, mental health, communicable and non-communicable diseases, side effects of drug abuse, gender, violence, Topics like child marriage etc. have been included. 2 teachers in each school will be trained on the contents of the guide. These teachers will educate and counsel all the children of the school. Along with this, the children will also be given advice through the helpline of the Umang programme.
Public Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Prabhuram Chowdhary, while releasing the guide and addressing the orientation in the Umang School Health and Wellness program on Saturday, said that health and education departments should work together for better health care of school children. have been Madhya Pradesh is the first state in the country to do this.
