Bhopal Gas Tragedy: It is going to be 38 years of the Bhopal gas tragedy on 3rd December. The victims of the gas tragedy are still facing problems. On which the Jabalpur High Court has shown strictness. While hearing the contempt petition in the case, the High Court has sought answers from the Central and State Governments.

Status report will be presented

The High Court has asked the government what action has been taken so far in providing relief to the gas victims. Its status report should be submitted. Not only this, the High Court has also asked questions to the deputy director of the Indian Council of Medical Research. He said what steps have been taken so far on the directions of the High Court.

Recruitment for the post of specialist doctor

However, in this matter the reply was presented by the Seniority Deputy Director of ICMR. In which it has been said that for the treatment of gas victims, two correspondences have been made regarding recruitment to the posts of specialist doctor appointed in BMHRC, Bhopal.

Additional expenditure of 7 crores every year

The government will have to bear an additional expenditure of 7 crores every year for the recruitment of doctors and appointment to vacant posts. On which action is going on and the reply of the government is awaited.

Answer will be presented within 4 weeks

The High Court has directed that the Senior Deputy Director General of ICMR should submit his reply within 4 weeks. The High Court has warned that if the reply is not submitted within 4 weeks, the Union Health Secretary will have to appear in the High Court in virtual mode.
