MP News: Gadkari also succumbed to the corruption of this department, then there was a complaint

Corruption In Transport Department Corruption complaints have broken records in the Transport Department of Madhya Pradesh. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari himself has made strong remarks twice regarding corruption in this department. Despite this, the round of complaints is going on in the department, but corruption is not taking the name of stopping.

The Transport Department of Madhya Pradesh has destroyed the Chief Minister’s dream of zero tolerance against corruption. There are more than 30 checkposts of the Transport Department where the phase of continuous recovery is going on. Years ago, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari compared the officials of the RTO department to the dacoits of Chambal and a few days ago he wrote a strong letter to the Madhya Pradesh government, after which Transport Commissioner Mukesh Jain was removed from the post and replaced by Sanjay Kumar. Jha was made the Transport Commissioner. Despite this, Jha has so far failed to stop corruption.

The staff posted at various points of the Transport Department have deployed private people for recovery, who are fiercely recovering from every passing commercial vehicle. PL Mukati, President of Indore Truck Operator and Transport Association, has written a letter to the Chief Minister and complained about the recovery being done at Balsamand block of Sendhwa. In the letter, he has written that the in-charge Transport Inspector posted in Balsamand keeps missing from the spot and the goons appointed by him are doing illegal extortion. The duty of two women officers has been imposed by the transport inspector for 15-15 days and no responsible officer remains on the spot at night. The situation has become so dire that truck operators tremble at the name of entering Madhya Pradesh.

This is not the first time that the Transport Department has been complained. Complaints keep coming day by day from various check posts, but neither the departmental officer nor the departmental minister is even crawling on the ear of the minister. It is obvious that when an influential Union minister like Nitin Gadkari is proving unsuccessful in curbing the corruption in the Transport Department, then what is the point of petty complaints.
