uniform civil code : Once again CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s strict attitude was seen when he suspended Sendhwa District CEO from the stage with immediate effect. He was addressing a public meeting at Chachariya village in Sendhwa, Barwani. Negligence and other complaints were received against CEO Rajendra Dixit in the PM Awas Yojana. Here the Chief Minister made a big statement regarding the Uniform Civil Code. He said that ‘I am in favor of implementing the Uniform Civil Code in the country. We are also forming a committee in Madhya Pradesh.
Regarding the meeting, the CM said that ‘sometimes big games happen’. If they could not take the land themselves, many tribals took the land by name. Many miscreants have also come who marry a tribal daughter and take land in her name. Today I have come to kindle the light of awakening. Married the daughter and took the land. I am in favor of the fact that the time has come for a Uniform Civil Code to be implemented in India. Why should anyone marry more than one? Why should there be two constitutions in one country? There should be only one. I am also forming a committee in Madhya Pradesh. Uniform Civil Code…If there is a right to have one wife, then there should be only one wife for all.
