
Ujjain News: Lokayukta Police has taken a major action in Ujjain. The secretary of village Kadcha has been arrested red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs.6000. On the basis of the complaint of the farmer, this action has been taken by the department.
Vijay Jat, a farmer living under the Narwar police station area, lodged a complaint with the Lokayukta Superintendent of Police, Ujjain on December 27, stating that he had entered into a contract with the company making four lanes in the field for leveling the field. Government permission was needed for this. When he reached the secretary of village Kadcha to get NOC, a bribe of Rs 6000 was demanded from him.
In this case, the farmer lodged a complaint with the Lokayukta. The secretary had called the farmer to Narwar to take bribe, where he was caught while taking action. According to Lokayukta Inspector Deepak Shejwar, taking the complaint seriously, a voice recording was also done of the conversation between the applicant Vijay Jat and Secretary Rakesh Songara. When the complaint was found correct in the investigation, the accused was caught red-handed while taking bribe from a tri-junction near a restaurant in Narwar.
Earlier asked for 20 thousand
According to the information, the secretary had demanded 20 thousand from the farmer for giving NOC. When the farmer told about his compulsion, the secretary said to give 10,000. This process continued and then it was decided to give NOC for 6000 rupees. It has also been told that the sarpanch had signed the NOC but the secretary was demanding bribe.
