Bhopal, Desk Report. The farmers of Madhya Pradesh are going to get a big good news gift. These days, the state government is buying their moong crop from the farmers on support price. Right now the limit for purchasing the crop is 25 quintals, but now the Madhya Pradesh government is working with the central government. With the consent, 40 quintals are going to be taken from the farmers. Farmer leader and Agriculture Minister Kamal Patel said in a statement issued after discussions with Union Agriculture Secretary, Government of India Manoj Ahuja in New Delhi on Tuesday.

Minister Kamal Patel said that the Union Secretary has agreed to increase the quantity of moong procurement from 25 quintals to 40 quintals per farmer and orders will be issued soon. Agriculture Minister Patel told the Union Secretary how the crops of forest villages were insured in Madhya Pradesh. Minister Patel also suggested to the Central Government that in Madhya Pradesh, by insuring the crops of forest villages, the amount of compensation was given to the farmers. Similarly, by insuring the crops of the forest villages all over the country, the crops of the forest villages of the country can be insured. Agriculture Minister Kamal Patel also suggested to the Union Secretary to purchase gram, mustard and lentils in the month of March every year.
