Bhopal Lokayukta Police: Bhopal Lokayukta police has arrested a government employee red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000/- on Friday, the arrested employee is a contract data entry operator in District Panchayat Office Raisen but looks after the work of secretaries.

According to the information, Harnam Singh Lodhi Namak, a resident of Tehrimurpar village of Garatganj tehsil, had given a complaint application on December 28 in the office of Lokayukta SP Bhopal. The applicant wrote that his mother Prabha Bai is the sarpanch of Tehrimurpar gram panchayat and he works as a sarpanch representative, there is no secretary in his panchayat due to which administrative work including development work is affected.

Applicant Harnam told that in the panchayat where the secretary is not posted, this responsibility is given to the Village Employment Assistant as per the rules, but instead of giving this responsibility to Manoj Yadav, contract data entry operator posted in the District Panchayat Office Raisen, Ashish Srivastava, Village Employment Assistant, 25 thousand Demanding bribe of Rs.

After receiving the complaint, the team of Lokayukta police investigated it and if proved to be true, planned to trap the data entry operator Ashish Srivastava, today on 30th December, the team of Lokayukta police Bhopal sent the applicant Harnam Singh to the district panchayat office, Raisen and the team also reached there.

Data entry operator Ashish Srivastava called the applicant Harnam Singh Lodhi to his office, District Panchayat Raisen, as soon as Harnam reached here, the bribe amount of Rs. Arrested him with bribe.
