Gwalior, Atul Saxena. A case of rape of a girl student living on rent has come to light in Thatipur police station area of Gwalior. The student is pursuing PGDCA from Jiwaji University. The accused is the son of the landlord and is absconding since the incident. Police is looking for the accused.

According to the information, a girl student from Indore lives on rent in Surendra Yadav’s house in Sanjay Nagar. She returned home from university on Tuesday evening. After coming to the room, when she returned after getting fresh, the landlord’s son Manoj was seen sitting there.

When the girl protested, Manoj threatened her, beat her up and raped her after locking the room and threatening to kill her if she told anyone or complained to the police.

The scared student gathered courage and lodged a complaint after reaching the police station. Additional SP Rajesh Dandontia said that on the complaint of the student, a case has been registered against the accused under the sections of rape, the accused is still absconding but he will be arrested soon.
