IPS Promotion 2022-23: Before the new year, the state government has gifted promotion to three IPS officers. The Uttarakhand government has approved the promotion of three IPS officers. The DPC promotion order approved by the government will come into effect from January 1, 2023. All the three IPS officers who got DPC were first appointed in PPS (Provincial Service Cadre) in the year 1992-93, after which two of these officers were converted to IPC cadre in the year 2008 and one officer in 2009.
Additional Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has issued an order in this regard. Under this, SSP Dilip Singh Kunwar of Dehradun and SSP Dadan Pal, Commandant of 40th PAC Corps posted in Haridwar, have been promoted to the post of DIG. On the other hand, SP Sukhwinder Singh, posted in Ramnagar Bailpadav IRB, has been promoted to SSP rank officer. All the three IPS officers who got DPC were earlier appointed in PPS (Provincial Service Cadre) in the year 1992-93.
Of these, two officers were converted in the year 2008 and one officer in 2009 IPC cadre. IPS Dalip Singh Kunwar is Asfar of 2009 cadre, he has been captain in 6 districts of the state, he got appointment in 1992 as PPS (Provincial Service Cadre) in Police Department. On the other hand, Dadan Pal, who got the rank of SSP to DIG, is a 1992 PPS officer and joined the IPS cadre in 2009 after getting promotion, while Sukhbir Singh, who got the rank of SP to SSP, is an officer of 2010 IPS cadre.
IPS of Chhattisgarh will also get a gift
- Amresh Mishra, Rahul Bhagat, Dhruv Gupta and Sheikh Arif Hussain are also going to get gifts in the new year in 4 IPS 2005 batch of Chhattisgarh cadre, a proposal has been prepared for this, which will be placed in the DPC meeting on 31st December. As soon as they get approval from here, they will be promoted and become IG. It is reported that the order of DPC can be issued anytime after the approval of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel.
- Out of these four, only Arif Sheikh is in Chhattisgarh, the rest 3 are posted in Delhi on central deputation. Amresh is in NIA but currently in US for higher education. Rahul Bhagat is Director Social Security and Dhruv Gupta is in IB. Arif Sheikh is the IG in charge of Raipur. After promotion, he will become full-time IG. It is expected that the state government can give New Year gift on January.
