India va Sri Lanka T20 Series: The Indian team will start preparations for the 2024 T20 World Cup from the T20 series against Sri Lanka in January next year. According to media reports, the senior players of Team India will not be a part of this T20 series. Only Hardik Pandya can be seen captaining Team India in the T20 series against Sri Lanka. Let us tell you that recently Hardik Pandya has led India to victory in the T20 series against New Zealand under his captaincy.
According to media reports, BCCI during informal talks with India’s senior players, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, R Ashwin. Players like Dinesh Karthik and Mohammed Shami have been informed that they will no longer participate in the T20 series. All these players will not be included in the T20 against Sri Lanka. On the other hand, KL Rahul is to get married in January, due to which he will not be seen playing this series.

According to the reports, the new selection committee of Team India will be appointed in December. After that that committee will make all the decisions. Rohit Sharma has also talked to Virat Kohli that he will not be a part of the T20 team against Sri Lanka and he has given his consent on this.
The upcoming schedule of the Indian team has more Tests and ODIs than T20s. Apart from this, there are also two ICC tournaments in the next year 2023. Regarding this, senior players will not be given much rest in Tests and ODIs. He will focus more on Test and ODI cricket. Team India will start preparations for the 50-over World Cup to be held in India next year from the ODI series starting on December 4 on Bangladesh tour.
