Superintendent of Police Gwalior Amit Sanghi received information from the informer that the absconding vicious Naqbajan Khurairi, who had stolen in Bank Colony and Sainik Colony of Murar police station area, is about to come to his home in Baragaon. On information, the Superintendent of Police instructed Additional SP City (South) Moti Ur Rehman and Additional SP City (East/Crime) Rajesh Dandotia to form a team of Crime Branch and Police Station Murar to nab the vicious Nakbajan.
As soon as the instructions of the senior officials were received, the joint team reached Khurairi Baragaon area, the place mentioned by the informer. When the police team reached near the house of vicious Naqbajan, a suspicious person was seen standing outside, who tried to run away from the spot after seeing the police team, but the police team laid siege and nabbed him on the spot. On interrogation, he accepted the theft of lakhs along with one of his accomplices in Murar, Sirol and Thatipur police stations.
On detailed enquiry, the police came to know that the caught vicious thief is a habitual criminal, against whom more than a dozen cases of theft, embezzlement, murder and attempt to murder are registered in different police stations of the city and he has also been punished in the case of murder. The caught vicious thief, with the help of another Nakabjan partner, admitted to committing six major theft incidents in Murar, Sirol, Thatipur and Hazira police station areas using a requisitioned motorcycle. 22 rounds of 12 bore, 43 rounds of 315 bore, 15 rounds of 32 bore pistol, a total of 80 rounds and gold and silver jewelery have been recovered from the house of the accused. The arrested Nakabjan was booked under the National Security Act 1980 (NSA) by District Magistrate Gwalior, on which he was arrested and sent to jail. Taking the accused on protection warrant, the six thefts and the remaining rounds will be recovered after questioning.
