Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti 2022 : Today is the birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth and last Guru of the Sikhs. He completed the Guru Granth Sahib, the holy book of Sikhism. His birth anniversary is celebrated as Prakash Parv. CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan has bowed down to him while congratulating him on the festival of lights.
According to the Hindu calendar, Guru Gobind Singh’s birth anniversary is celebrated on the seventh day of Shukla Paksha of Paush month. He has been given many titles but most commonly called Sarabans Dani. To take iron from the Mughals and save the weak people, he sacrificed his entire family including himself. The entire family including his father Guru Teg Bahadur, mother and all four sons had attained martyrdom in this religious war. That is why it is said for them ‘Chaar Put Vaare, Panchvi Maa Vaaree, Chhatha Baap Vaaree and Satwaan Aap Vaaree’. Sattvaar ke kahdaan – Bhana Meetha Lage Tera, Sarbans Daniya ve dena kaun dauga tera. He had also sacrificed his four sons and for this his own words were ‘in Putan ke sis par vaar diye sut char’. What happened to four people, there are many thousands alive.’
Let us inform that two days back on December 27, it was the sacrifice day of his two sons Baba Fateh Singh and Baba Zorawar Singh and Veer Bal Diwas was celebrated in the country. Zorawar Singh was only 9 years old and Fateh Singh was 7 years old. They were taken prisoner and forced to convert. But both the brave boys rejected it and instead they were walled up. In this way, Guru Gobind Singh and his entire family set the best example of sacrifice. While saluting him, CM Shivraj has said that ‘you can attain God only by the good deeds done by you’ – Guru Gobind Singh. I bow down to the tenth Guru of Sikhs, Sahib-e-Kamal, revered Guru Gobind Singh ji on his birth anniversary. Your teachings will always inspire for the service of religion and humanity.
