Old Pension Scheme 2022: Before the Gujarat assembly elections, the old pension scheme has created a stir in the state. On one hand, Congress has promised to implement it on the lines of Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh as soon as it comes to power, on the other hand, AAP convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has once again made a big announcement for the government employees, intensifying the political stir.
Kejriwal has announced that the only demand of the government employees was that the old pension scheme should be implemented. The old pension scheme will be released as soon as the AAP government is formed in Gujarat. The Aam Aadmi Party had promised to implement the old pension in Punjab as well, the Punjab government has issued a notification regarding this skill on 18th November.
He said- I guarantee all the government employees of Gujarat that the old pension scheme will be implemented within a month of the formation of the Aam Aadmi Party government in Gujarat. Notification of old pension scheme will be issued before 31st January. We have shown this by implementing the old pension scheme in Punjab.
Many advantages of old pension
Let us tell you that under OPS, half of the employee’s salary is given as pension at the time of retirement, because the pension in OPS is determined according to the last basic salary of the government employee and the inflation rate data. In this, there is no provision to deduct any money from the salary of the employees for pension, it is paid through the treasury of the government. In the old pension scheme, gratuity up to Rs 20 lakh, on the death of a retired employee, his family members get the benefit of pension and General Provident Fund i.e. GPF. Same when the government implements the new Pay Commission, it also increases the pension. There is an increase.
