Actually, there is a big update on the salary payment of teachers and employees working in 81000 government schools of Bihar. Bank accounts have been ordered to be opened in SBI for payment of salary to teachers and employees of 28 districts. Bank accounts of teachers of 10 districts are already in SBI. Now, teachers who have accounts in other banks, are getting delayed in payment of salary, whereas in SBI, the process of payment of salary has been started as soon as possible.
Order to District Education Officers
All the District Education Officers were ordered to close the accounts related to salary payment of teachers and obtain closure certificate from the bank. It will be mandatory to send its report to the headquarters. Also, by opening a new bank account with the same name in the main branch branch of SBI located at the district headquarters, it should be ensured that the report is sent to the headquarters so that there is no delay in the salary of the teachers.
According to Asangba Chuba Aao, State Project Director of Bihar Education Project Council, the teachers of East Champaran, Bhagalpur, Kishanganj, Munger, Nawada, Purnia, Saran, Sitamarhi are in the account. In such a situation, the salary payments of these teachers are being ensured in the stipulated time, whereas due to having accounts in other banks, there has been a delay in payment of salaries. Therefore, it was decided that at the district level the accounts of the teachers should be operated in a single bank SBI.
