Gwalior Crime News: Gwalior police has caught about one kilogram of gold being smuggled from Mumbai to Gwalior at Gwalior airport with the help of custom officials, police have arrested four smugglers who were bringing gold secretly, foreign currency has also been recovered from the smugglers.

According to the information today, on December 03, Superintendent of Police Gwalior Amit Sanghi, BHPSU was informed by Director Revenue Intelligence KP Singh that some passengers coming from Mumbai to Gwalior by Indigo air bus are illegally smuggling gold. As soon as the information was received, the Superintendent of Police directed Additional SP Mrs. Mrigakhi Deka and CSP Maharajpura Ravi Bhadoria to take action.

On receiving instructions from senior officials, CSP Maharajpura Ravi Bhadauria, coordinating with CISF Assistant Commandant Kaushalendra Singh Kaul and Custom Officer SK Arya posted in airport security, checked the passengers of the Airbus coming from Mumbai and searched 04 suspicious persons in it. Lee, on search, a total of 01 kg of gold was recovered from the suspects, which was hidden by the accused in their clothes in the form of lead pencil and some part of the gold was packed in the form of paste and glued to the body.

During interrogation, it was found that all the accused smugglers are residents of Tanda Rampur, Uttar Pradesh, some foreign currency of United Arab Emirates has also been recovered from the smugglers, action has been taken against the accused under section 110,111 of the Custom Act, the accused will be sent to the court. By presenting, the police will interrogate on remand. The names of the accused smugglers have been mentioned as Mohammad Anees, Mansoor Alam, Anwar Ali and Risalat Ali.
