
Bhupesh Cabinet Meeting Old Pension Scheme: The officers and employees of the state will get the benefit of the old pension scheme. For this, the approval has been given in the cabinet meeting. In fact, even after the central government has refused to give back the amount of NPS, the officer employees will continue to get the benefit of the old pension scheme in the state. This decision has been taken in the meeting chaired by the CM on Friday.
According to the Bhupesh cabinet meeting, government servants are being considered as members of the Chhattisgarh General Provident Fund from April 1, 2002. On the other hand, from the date of appointment after November 1, 2004 till March 31, 2022, the benefit of pension will be given to the government employees under the contribution deposited in the NPS account and the dividend earned thereon.
Important rules for old pension scheme
Along with this, as per the decision taken in the cabinet meeting, the employees will have to deposit the contribution of the state government and the dividend generated, only then they will be eligible for the old pension scheme. Not only this, whether the government employees have to remain in NPS as before or not, they will have to give the option of getting the benefit of the old pension scheme in a notarized affidavit.
Not only this, along with opting for the old pension scheme by the government servant, it is mandatory for him to deposit the contribution deposited by the government in the NPS account from November 1, 2004 to March 31, 2022, and the dividend earned thereon in the account of the state government. In case of not doing so, the employees will not be eligible for the old pension scheme. Also, under the cabinet meeting, the employees appointed on and after April 1, 2022, will compulsorily be considered as members of the old pension scheme.
Many important proposals were also approved in the cabinet meeting
- Apart from this, many important proposals have also been approved in the cabinet meeting. It has also been decided to distribute 45 rice to ration card holders in all the districts of the state.
- An amount of Rs 26.42 crore will be spent for this. Apart from this, the format of amendment in Chhattisgarh Industrial Land and Management Rules 2015 has also been approved.
- A special scheme will be started to repair the school building. For which a total of 780 crore rupees will be spent in the repair of the school.
- Along with this, it was also decided to improve the environment in other plantations and increase the income of the farmers. For this, it has been decided to start Mukhyamantri Vriksha Sampada Yojana.
