New Delhi, Desk Report.Central employees and pensioners (7th Pay Commission Central Government employees) can get relief next month. It is expected that arrears of 18 months dearness allowance can be considered in September. After increasing pressure along with the demands, letters and memorandums of the employees, it is believed that the central government can take a positive decision soon. If the decision is taken, then 1 crore employees, pensioners will get its benefit and the amount of arrears ranging from 12000 to 2.18 lakh will come in the account. However, no confirmation has been made by the government yet.

According to media reports, in the coming days, a meeting of the Joint Advisory Mechanism (JSM) of the officials of the Department of Personnel and Training and Department of Expenditure (DOPT) of the Ministry of Finance can be held and the final decision can be taken. Recently, the Secretary of the National Council of ‘Staff Side’ Shiv Gopal Mishra has written a letter to the Cabinet Secretary and the Chairman of the National Council (JCM) on 18 August and the dearness allowance with effect from January 1, 2020, July 1, 2020 and January 1, 2021. Demand for immediate release of ‘Arrears’ (18 Months DA Arrears) of Dearness Relief.
There is also talk of discussing the same arrears. If this happens, then 48 lakh central government employees and more than 68 lakh pensioners will get the benefit. Employees will get DA arrears according to their salary band. The arrears of dearness allowance of the employees from January 2020 to June 2021 have not been received.

According to recent media reports, Rs 1.50 lakh can be given as a lump sum installment by the central government instead of paying 2 lakh at a time to the central employees. Shivgopal Mishra of the National Council of JCM says that the DA arrears of Level-1 employees range from Rs 11,880 to Rs 37,554. If calculated for Level-13 (7th CPC basic pay scale Rs 1,23,100 to Rs 2,15,900) or Level-14 (pay scale), the dearness allowance arrear in hand of an employee is Rs 1,44,200 to 2 Rs 18,200 will be paid.
