
Betul Tanmanya fell in Borewell : Relief and rescue work is going on to save Tanmay who fell in the open borewell in Betul district. Teams of administration and police are continuously present on the spot and are trying to save Tanmay, it is being told that in the last 56 hours about 45 feet has been excavated. It is being said that Tanmay is just seven feet away. But due to the vibration of Poklen machines, it is sliding down in the borewell, in view of this the tunnel is now being dug by hand for safety. Prayers are pouring in for Class III student Tanmay.
Prayers for safety continue
While playing at 4.30 pm on Tuesday 6 December in Mandvi village, Tanmay had fallen into an open bore made by his uncle. The rescue operation was started within an hour after the news of the child’s fall was received. The district administration, SDERF and NDRF teams are continuously digging to get the child out of the bore. A huge crowd including Tanmay’s father is praying for Tanmay’s safe exit.

Betul Additional District Magistrate Shyamendra Jaiswal said, “We have completed digging up to 45 feet and will now dig a horizontal tunnel, which has been started. There were hard rocks on the way, which have been broken with the help of machines. But now we have reached the child and it is a very sensitive position so now it will be dug by hand and try to reach the child. State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), home guards and local police personnel have been on the job for the past three days.
