
Bhopal Airport Dogs : Two new dogs, which play an important role in the security of the capital Bhopal’s Raja Bhoj airport, have been inducted into the fleet. Along with this, the retirement of the two old dogs was also done with grandeur on Tuesday.
Grand farewell ceremony
Farewell and welcome ceremony of two Labrador retrievers (Mani and Monty) and two incoming sniffer dogs (Oreo and Sheru) was organized in the unit line of ASG Bhopal. Both the retiring dogs have completed 10 years of service in the security of civil aviation at Bhopal airport. Also, two new dogs which arrived at Bhopal airport on 03.Dec. Both these dogs have reached ASG Bhopal after receiving basic training from DTS Ranchi, they were also formally welcomed and inducted at Bhopal airport. The retiring and new incoming dogs were felicitated by Airport Director Bhopal Ramji Awasthi and DC/CASO Man Singh and a tug of war ceremony was also organized in their honour. On this occasion, two retiring dogs were kept in the dog kennel of this ASG.

Dogs are the most loyal animal among animals. Presently there are three to four dogs at Bhopal airport who are deployed in round the clock security of the airport. These dogs are used for mock drill and bomb detection at Bhopal airport or in any other operation. Apart from this, more than 100 CISF personnel give their duty in three shifts at Bhopal airport.
