Doctor missing after injecting 35 women for sterilization in Dewas Civil Hospital, notice issued




Dewas Sterilization Notice : The Madhya Pradesh Human Rights Commission has taken cognizance of the incident of disappearance of 35 patients after a doctor injected them unconscious during a female sterilization camp at Khategaon, Civil Hospital in Dewas district on Wednesday.

The relatives of the women who came for sterilization said that when the operation was not to be done, why were they made unconscious, while the doctor of the team who performed the operation said that only 30 people had come for the operation. Information was taken from the BMO who arrived during the ruckus, then the BMO told them in a furious manner that those who have not been operated should come on next Wednesday. In the matter, the Commission has asked the Chief Medical and Health Officer, Dewas, after conducting an inquiry into the matter, and has sought a reply within 15 days. The commission has also said that according to the doctor of the operation team, if only 30 operations were to be performed, then a report should be given along with the reason and the action taken, as to why the preliminary procedure was done after registering about 70 women.
