Congress Foundation Day : Today is the foundation day of the Indian National Congress. The country’s oldest party is celebrating its 138th Foundation Day today. On this occasion, Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge hoisted the flag at the National Congress office in Delhi. During this, former Congress President Sonia Gandhi, MP Rahul Gandhi and many leaders and Congress officials were present. On this occasion, Mallikarjun Kharge said that India progressed due to the inclusive approach of the Congress to take everyone along. He said that the party has always worked for the development and welfare of the people of India. At the same time, Rahul Gandhi has said that ‘I am proud, I am a part of such an organization which chose the path of truth, non-violence and struggle in every situation and always took every step in public interest’.

The Indian National Congress was founded on 28 December 1885 at the Das Tejpal Sanskrit College in Bombay (Mumbai). The founder general secretary of the Congress was AO Hume. At the time of establishment, 72 representatives were present there. Senior leader Womesh Chandra Banerjee was made the president of the party. Congress celebrates its foundation day every year on 28 December. Today the party has tweeted that ‘Congress is a movement’. Congress is the voice of the people of India. From its inception till date, the main aim of the Congress has been only national interest and public service. The party whose history is decorated with sacrifice, dedication and strong leadership ability, the same party will again write the story of the country’s golden future. This year Congress is making an innovative effort to connect with the public through Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra. In this context, this year becomes more important.

In Madhya Pradesh too, Congress Foundation Day was celebrated today at the state Congress office. On this occasion, the Congress leaders hoisted the flag and sang the national song “Vande Mataram”. State Congress President Kamal Nath has tweeted that ‘Best wishes on the 138th foundation day of the Indian National Congress – the ideology of the Congress always inspires us to sacrifice and struggle for the sake of the country’s innovation from the struggle for independence till date. . “Strong Congress, Strong India”. Assembly elections are to be held in the state in the coming year and in this sense this year is very important. Congress is continuously making many announcements in the state. First, it promised the striking contract health workers that their demands would be met on priority if the Congress government is formed. Now PCC Chief Kamal Nath tweeted that ‘we have increased the pension of widowed sisters from ₹ 300 to ₹ 600 and we were going to increase it to ₹ 1000. Our government was toppled by bargaining and the needy sisters’ right to pension of ₹ 1000 per month was killed. As soon as the Congress government is formed in Madhya Pradesh, we will increase the widow pension to ₹ 1000 a month. In 2018, Congress had promised loan waiver of Rs 2 lakh and implementation of old pension. He has also repeated this promise and said that if he wins, old pension will be implemented for the employees.
