
CG Weather Update Today : The effect of Cyclone Mandaus is visible across the country. On one hand, an alert has been issued for heavy rains in the southern states, on the other hand, frequent changes are being seen in the weather of Chhattisgarh. According to the Chhattisgarh Meteorological Department, due to the effect of cold winds, a drop in the maximum temperature is being recorded in the state. There will be further increase in the cold in the coming days. On December 10, there is a possibility of cloudy weather and rain in Bilaspur division.
Chhattisgarh’s Meteorologist Dr. HP Chandra (CG Weather update) told that the cyclonic storm Mandal is moving in the northwest direction with a speed of 14 kmph in the last 6 hours over South West Bay of Bengal – North Tamil Nadu coast – Puducherry coast. It is located 350 km from Trincomalee, 250 km from Jaffna to the north northeast, 135 km from Mamallapuram to the southeast, 170 km from Chennai to the south southeast.
Cyclonic storm will increase further today
Meteorologist Dr. HP Chandra said that this cyclonic storm is likely to move north-westwards and hit north Tamil Nadu Puducherry and adjoining south Andhra Pradesh near Mamallapuram between Puducherry and Sriharikota. While hitting the land, its wind speed is likely to be around 65 to 75 km. Narayanpur recorded a minimum temperature of 6.7 degree Celsius.
Partly cloudy, chances of rain
Meteorologist Dr. HP Chandra (CG Weather Alert) told that there is a possibility of light rain or thundershowers at one or two places in the state on December 10. There is also a possibility of being partly cloudy in the state on Saturday. An increase in the minimum temperature is possible. The area of rain is likely to remain mainly in the district of South Chhattisgarh and its adjoining Bilaspur division.
