In Article 21 of the constitution of the Bharatiya Janata Party, a provision has been made that no leader can remain the president of the party for more than two terms of three years each. During the tenure of JP Nadda, BJP has won a landslide victory in the assembly elections of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Gujarat, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur.

Assembly elections to be held in 9 states
Now since in the current year 2013 assembly elections are to be held in 9 states (Mizoram, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Tripura, Telangana, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh). Which is a big challenge for BJP. Because two of these states, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh, are considered very important, where there is a Congress government. The BJP is considering the assembly elections in these states as the semi-finals of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
