Bhopal, Desk Report. The Madhya Pradesh government is in great preparation. Under the development work, the exercise to purify the water of the rivers has started. Preparations are being made to set up sewerage treatment plants in more than 400 municipal bodies for the sewage that comes out in urban areas. Under this, the state government is preparing to save those rivers, which are tributaries and water sources of other rivers including Narmada.

Under the same new preparations, sewerage treatment plants with a capacity of 1800 MLD will be built in 413 bodies. In order to clean and purify the water of rivers in Madhya Pradesh, the government has started work on the treatment plant to purify the sewage water of the body on priority basis. At the same time, a target has been set to complete it by December 2023.

A target has been set to build 150 MLD of sewage treatment plants in 2023. Now in such a situation, work will be started on the sewerage treatment plant to purify the water in all the bodies. Let us tell you that 22 rivers have become polluted in the state, illegal mining and urban filth is causing continuous impact on the water of rivers. An action plan is being prepared for their conservation. Two years ago the National Green Tribunal had given a report on the rivers of Madhya Pradesh. In which widespread pollution was reported in 22 rivers. Apart from Narmada, Betwa, Tapti, Bichiya and Tamas were also included in this.

After which instructions were given by the government to prepare an action plan to make all the rivers free from pollution. To ensure that the work is done within the time limit, action will be taken for delay in the body and fine will also be imposed. Preference will be given to those bodies which are established on the banks of the river. There, first of all work will be started on sewerage treatment plant for sewage and sewerage waste water.

At the same time, the government made a big claim that 12 MLD capacity treatment plants have been prepared in the state including Bhopal Indore, while 95 percent sewerage treatment plants are still in the active stage. 80 percent sewerage treatment plant will be started soon in the urban body situated on the banks of Narmada. At the same time, the work of 171 crore sewerage plant can also be started in Narmada Pura to make Narmada river pollution free.
