Demanded bribe in exchange for permanent electricity connection of 5 HP
According to the information received by the Lokayukta police, the victim Moolchand Patel, a resident of Tilwara Ghat, had applied for a 5-hp permanent connection for agricultural work in his farm. Taking the application, the junior engineer was continuously speaking to Moolchand Patel for connection today and tomorrow. But recently a demand of Rs 25,000 was made by the junior engineer, later the deal was settled for Rs 13,000. Distressed by J.E, the farmer complained to Jabalpur Lokayukta S.P. After which the team of Lokayukta trapped the bribery engineer red-handed today by laying a trap. At present the team is taking further action.
