Betul Congress Councilors Protest: In Madhya Pradesh’s Betul district, Congress councilors staged a sit-in in front of the municipal office to resolve their 14-point demands. He has also handed over a memorandum addressed to the Governor to the CMO. Earlier, the councilors presented bangles to the AE who came to collect the memorandum on the spot.
The same councilors allege that the development works in the wards have stopped. Due to which the councilors are not able to face the public. The CMO has expressed confidence of solving the problem in seven days. Out of 33 elected councilors, 10 Congress councilors staged a sit-in in front of the council office today, opening a front against the mismanagement in the municipality.
The councilor is angry with his neglect. It is alleged that the CMO does not pick up his phone. The files of development works keep lying in the same branch for months, due to which the development and construction works have come to a standstill.
During this, the councilors have also submitted a memorandum of their 14-point demands to the CMO. On which the CMO has given assurance of action. Congress councilors have been warned that if the problems are not resolved in 15 days, they will launch a fierce agitation.
