Betul Child in Borewell : An attempt to save a 6-year-old boy who fell into a borewell in Betul failed. After 84 hours the body of the child has been pulled out of the borewell. After continuous efforts for 3 days, the rescue team reached near the child at 3:00 am today. After this, the dead body was taken out at 5:00 am.

Post mortem by team of doctors

Giving information, the Collector said that the dead body was brought to the district hospital in Betul at 7:00 am. Where his post-mortem is being done by a team of five doctors. In detailed information, Collector Amanbir Singh Bains says that it was 400 feet deep. The child was trapped at a depth of 39 feet.

A 44 feet deep pit was dug parallel to the bore for 3 days by the Risky team. After which a 9 feet horizontal tunnel was also prepared. Efforts were going on day and night by the rescue team but it was too late to reach the child.

Tanmay was stuck at 39 feet

The Home Guard Commander, who is supervising the rescue operation, says that Tanmay was trapped at 39 feet in the borewell. A 44 feet parallel pit was dug by NDRF and DSRS. In which 61 jawans were engaged.

Tanmay fell into the borewell while playing

The accident took place on Tuesday evening in Mandvi village of Aathner in Betul district. Around 5:00 pm, 6-year-old Tanmay had fallen into the borewell while playing with other children. On making a sound, the child’s voice came from within. On which its information was immediately given to Betul and Aathner police.
