Ujjain News: After the construction of Mahakal Lok, the number of passengers in Ujjain has increased considerably. Lakhs of visitors are coming to have darshan of Baba Mahakal to see the unique beauty of Mahakal Lok. Meanwhile, the arbitrariness of the traffic police has come to the fore. The road leading to Hari Phatak Bridge has been completely closed, due to which the commuters are facing a lot of trouble.
Policemen have been deployed by installing barricades and stoppers on the road leading to Harifatak. All the vehicles coming from Indore road in this direction are being diverted towards Chintaman. The difficulty is that every person coming on this road does not want to go to Mahakal Lok. There are some people who have to go towards the railway station or Dewas Gate bus stand, but due to the new arrangement, they are getting worried.
People troubled by the new traffic system say that even if we want to go to the district hospital via Harifatak, we are not being allowed to go, this is completely arbitrary. Mahakal Lok has been constructed in Ujjain but no planning has been done regarding the crowd. As a result of which the local people are suffering.
In the matter, ASP says that after the construction of Mahakal Lok, the pressure on Harifatak Bridge has increased, hence parking facility has been made available on the vacant land of Mannat Garden. This step has been taken so that people can easily travel on foot. He says that talking about the convenience of vehicles going towards the railway station and bus stand, if people tell the policemen on duty where they want to go, they will not be stopped.
