All India Motor Transport Congress wrote a letter to CM Shivraj : All India Motor Transport Congress has written a letter to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. In this, he has demanded 50 percent exemption in lifetime tax on vehicles sold in the entire state at the Gwalior Trade Fair. Explain that the Shivraj government has announced 50 percent exemption in life time tax on vehicles sold in the fair, but its benefit will be available only on permanent registration in Gwalior.

In this letter, he has written that ’50 percent exemption in lifetime tax on vehicles sold in the Gwalior Trade Fair, using the powers conferred by section 21 of the Madhya Pradesh Motor Vehicle Pradhan Adhiniyam 1991 (No. 25 of 1991) to sell non-transport vehicles during the fair period. But lifetime tax exemption of 50 per cent has been given. This exemption will be available only on permanent registration in Gwalior, such a provision has been made. Whereas the slogan of your government is * Two heads and two constitutions will not work in one country. Then why this kind of notification has been issued in Gwalior on 22nd December due to which the vehicle seller dealer of Gwalior was benefited and only the Gwalior Regional Transport Officer will get the revenue. Why this exemption has not been given to the rest of the vehicle vendors of the state and why they cannot register the vehicles purchased from the Gwalior trade fair in other transport offices of our state. Why only one transport office has been given the right to receive revenue. This would be considered a violation of the right to equality under Article of the Constitution of India.

Explain that according to the decision taken by the state government, during the Gwalior Trade Fair 2022-23 period, on the purchase of non-transport vehicles and small (light) transport vehicles (vehicles), the buyers will have to pay Life Time Tax (Life Time Tax) with various conditions. ) will be given a discount of 50 percent on the rate which will be applicable only on permanent registration in Regional Transport Office, Gwalior. Regarding this, they have now demanded that the benefit of the Gwalior trade fair should be given to the vehicle sellers and all the transport offices of the state.
