After the complaint of the consumer, the food department raided the hotel, sent samples for investigation




Ujjain News: These days the action of the Food Department is being seen continuously in Ujjain and the surrounding areas of the division. The Food Department team also raided Hotel Sai Palace located in Freeganj area. For many days, complaints of disturbances in food were coming here, due to which this action has been taken.

The Food Department has taken samples of flour, buttermilk and ghee from here, which have been sent to the lab for testing. Action will be taken if any discrepancy is found in the sample. Giving information, Food Security Officer Banesingh Deoria said that a businessman from Freeganj had ordered 12 packets of food from the hotel. The entire order was worth Rs 2,700 but two members of his family fell ill due to food contamination.

Due to illness, the family members started vomiting, due to which the businessman lodged a complaint with the Food Department. After receiving the complaint, the team reached the hotel and took samples of the food items here and sent them to Bhopal. The operator of the hotel is Sanjay Jain, whose license and other documents are also being investigated.

Factory was raided last day

Recently, the Food Department team had taken action on an illegally run mawa factory in Baragaon under Khachrod area of ​​Nagda. Acting on the complaint of making fake mawa, the factory was sealed by seizing more than 2 lakh ghee, mawa, milk and other goods from here. Samples have been sent to Bhopal for investigation, further action will be taken after the report comes.
