
Betul News: In Madhya Pradesh’s Betul district today, while protesting, the Aam Aadmi Party has demanded a compensation of 50 lakhs to the family members of Tanmay who fell in the borewell. The party has also questioned the absence of army’s help in Tanmay’s rescue. He has also raised the issue of not following the guidelines of the Supreme Court in the mining of borewells and getting them closed. During this Tanmay’s parents and sister were also present. The party has warned that if their demands are not met within 15 days, the party will start a fast unto death. In the memorandum, the Aam Aadmi Party has demanded a fair investigation into Tanmay Sahu’s death, proper compensation, and implementation of the Supreme Court’s order on borewells at the ground level.

Aam Aadmi Party workers reached the collectorate today. He has made several demands, including the implementation of the Supreme Court’s guidelines in view of incidents of children falling into borewells here. The workers who reached under the leadership of the party’s district president Ajay Soni also staged a sit-in here. The party said that keeping in view the ever-increasing incidents, the Supreme Court had issued its own guidelines on borehole mining. Despite the order of the court, the governments of the country and the state are not taking any care in this direction.
