2023 Festival Calendar: According to the Hindu calendar, the year 2023 is not going to have 12 months but 13 months. Actually this is because there will be a difference of about 15 to 20 days in the dates of all the fasting festivals coming in the year 2023 as compared to 2022. Not only this, this time the month of Sawan is going to be of 60 days, till now it used to be of 30 days. But in 2023 it will be 60 days. At the same time Chaturmas used to be of 4 months till now, but now it will be of 5 months.
This is the reason –
According to the Hindu calendar, there will be an extra month in 2023. In fact, till now you have seen that many times a date comes in two days or two dates happen together in a single day. But in 2023, there will be a lot of change in this matter. It is being told that due to the fall of Purushottam month, 1 month is going to be extra in 2023. At the same time, the month of Sawan will also be of 60 days. In fact, whether it is Purushottam month or Adhik month, the month with which it comes in association increases to 2 months. In such a situation, in the year 2023, more months are coming with the month of Sawan, due to which it will be of 60 days.
15 to 20 days difference in every festival –
According to beliefs, due to many dates being back and forth in the Hindu year, about 11 days are reduced in 1 year. In such a situation, if these reduced days are counted in 3 years, then it becomes 30 to 33 in the number of union. It takes a lot of time to adjust them. In such a situation, this extra month which is read every 3 years is known as Purushottam month. 2023 is also being counted in these years. Actually Purushottam month will be held from 18 July to 16 August in 2023. Because of this, the month of Sawan will start from 4th July till 31st August. At the same time, there will be a difference in the rest of the festivals and the date of fasting. After the month of Sawan, there will be a difference of 15 to 20 days in the date of every Teej festival.
