Bhopal News: More than a dozen children have fallen ill after consuming mid-day meal in a government school in the capital Bhopal. After the incident, the children have been admitted to the hospital where they are undergoing treatment. On getting information about the matter, the SDM reached the school to inspect and suspended the group working there for the time being. A new group will start cooking here from Monday. Police is also engaged in the investigation of the matter. School teachers say that spoiled food is often served and 20 children fell ill after eating the food on Thursday. Have complained but no action is taken.
This whole matter pertains to Government Primary School Bhainsoda, Berasia. Here on Thursday afternoon the children who ate the mid-day meal fell ill. The health of about a dozen children deteriorated, after which they were admitted to the hospital. Some children have been sent home and some are still in the hospital. After the incident came to light, the district panchayat team reached the school and the hospital for inspection. On reaching the school, it was revealed that the children were being served stale kadhi and puri. The teacher present here told that many times complaints have been made to the mid-day meal in-charge but no action was taken.
On the other hand, the police is engaged in the investigation of the case and the station in-charge of Berasia says that the investigation report has not come, so the FIR has not been registered, further action will be taken as soon as the report comes. Please inform that the officers have also found a dog roaming at the place where the children eat food. It has also been learned that this situation often prevails here and a lot is being played with the health of the children.
SDM Aditya Jain says that the activities of the group have not been found correct due to which it has been suspended. The new group has been given orders to cook. Action will be taken by registering a case against those who are guilty in this matter. Along with this, a team will also be formed to inspect the mid-day meal distribution.
