scam happened like this
In the investigation conducted by the Ministry of Public Health and Family Welfare, it has come to light that there are some hospitals which got Ayushman cards made for the employees working there and money was manipulated by claiming them as patients. At the same time, there are some patients whose bill was made of 50 thousand but it was increased to 2 lakh and more amount was recovered from the government. Along with this, agents were also appointed for more and more Ayushman card holders from rural areas to come to the hospital for treatment.
These agents, appointed by hospitals in rural areas, were named Public Relations Officers. The amount of the bill was also increased in the name of expensive investigation. It has also come to light that in Central India Kidney Hospital, Jabalpur, Ayushman card holders were stopped by luring them and fake bills were made. Some part of the amount received from this bill was also given to the patients so that the hospital was not exposed. The directors of this hospital, Dr. Ashwini Pathak and Duhita Pathak, have been jailed because they have scammed a huge amount from Ayushman Yojana by preparing about 6,000 fake patients. They were doing the business of fake Ayushman cards for a long time by luring people.
